Before we know it, Memorial Day Weekend will be here. Father's Day highlights June, followed by the first official day of summer on June 21st. But wait, one of the biggest and most-loved community events takes place before any of these, May 19th - 22nd!
The parade was fun, the music's great and that lemonade really hit the spot. But now that you're full of hot dogs, tacos, potatoes and Hobo Feed food, it's time to wander around the park and hit the carnival at Selah Community Days!
After a military chopper flyover to get things started, you wouldn't have thought Saturday's (May 20) Selah Community Days parade could go much higher.
But you'd have thought wrong.
The way Selah does it, being a hobo doesn't seem all that bad. In fact, if you sidled up to one of those tables in the parking lot of the Selah Civic Center for Thursday's Hobo Feed, you might've been tempted to abandon all responsibility, hit the road and seek a more carefree life.
(OK, maybe that's just us.)
Selah Community Days is back this week (May 18-May 21), and you don't want to miss any of the action. It is always such a fantastic time. Kicking it off is the excellent Hobo Feed at the Selah Civic Center, 216 S. First St.
If you missed out on your chance to sign up for tickets to the sold-out Macklemore & Ryan Lewis show*, then here's your chance!
Stop by the Goodwill at the Union Gap location (1903 S 1st St, Yakima, WA 98903) on Wednesday, July 20th, from 4pm-6pm...
Selah Community Days is a fun way to bring the community together with a parade, carnival rides, vendors and so much here. Here are just a few photos from what we saw.

It's time once again for the Selah Community Days!

No weird wildlife on this outdoor experience -- closest thing to a monster anybody saw was the garbage truck slamming Dumpsters by our KFFM rig around 6:30 this morning.
After one night, we're good with being in a bedroom community like Selah. The accommodations are great.
