Randall Park is one of my most favorite parks in all of Yakima. We love to go and feed the ducks, my kids like to play on the playground equipment, it's the perfect place to have picnic and so much more. I know it's not in the best shape and there are renovations coming to Randall Park soon, but could we start with making it safer between the walking path and the creek below?

I have a lot of fond memories coming here as a child, too. We'd go down to the creek and just hang out there. Accessing it wasn't so bad, but now it looks like it would be too easy for anyone to just tumble all the way down. In the worst parts, right now, there are just a couple of wooden stakes that hold caution tape to warn you about falling in.

There are several children who wouldn't even care to notice if they're walking while looking around and trip over this, causing them to fall down.

I'm not sure if this was meant to be a temporary fix for now, but certainly there are supplies somewhere in the city that can make a more stable baracade between the path and the creek.

If you have any ideas of what we can do in the meantime, please post them in the comments below.
