Things travel fast on the information superhighway (the internet) and the days of the 24-hour news cycle tend to make us discard information as quickly as we get it.
Every once in a while though, something grabs the attention and tugs at our very base humanity, for better or worse, and gets spread rapidly far and wide.
The term coined is "gone viral." This is an example that I stumbled across on a number of Facebook posts today.
In a poll that we didn’t even know was being conducted, Eminem was voted the Most Popular Celeb Dad by “social network aggregator Starcount.” Now, had we known this even existed, we probably would have exhausted our efforts to make Eminem No. 1 simply because of the fact we’re still harboring all sorts of crushes on him. It’s that bad boy thing. Whatevs.
June 15, 2012 My wife very casually asked me, the other day, what I wanted for Father's Day. I answers in my typical fashion, "you don't need to get me anything for Father's Day." I was telling the truth. I don't wear a tie to work and all of my hobbies I can fund myself and I don't like people buying me stuff because I can usually find whatever they bought me cheaper or, at time, free.
