Approximately 40 to 60 pilots and nearly 200 remote control aircraft of all types have descended upon the valley to participate in the Yakima Valley Aeromodelers 27th annual Spring Opener. The event kicks off today and continues all weekend just outside of Zillah. It is free to attend and open to the public.
I love Google Earth. It really is so much fun to go to different places in the world and dream you could go there just by the way it looks from Google Earth. Little did I know that the shape of a couple of blocks in our very own neighborhood in Yakima would be a '12' for the 12th Man Seahawks fan!
So lately it's nothing but sunshine in the Yakima Valley. A perfect day to go to a park. And have picnic, enjoy the views of Yakima, and do some grilling. You can do all of that and more at Chesterley Park, located right off of 40th Ave.
