Charlie Puth promised there would be a lot of making out in his "Marvin Gaye" video — and he totally delivered!

The video, which dropped on April 1, kicks it old school (literally) as it takes place during a dance that totally makes us feel nostalgic. Back in March, Charlie gave PopCrush a sneak peek regarding what fans can expect from video.

"You can expect a lot of making out," he told us. "The moment I get up onstage there’s this wave of 'Marvin Gaye' that hits everybody and everyone just falls in love with each other. It’s pretty hilarious to see how people react to it when the song plays. The chaperones and the teachers start making out. And then Meghan [Trainor] comes in and does her verse and she has that soulful voice, so everyone starts getting into the groove a little bit. At the end, there’s a little special thing that you’re going to have to see."

Needless to say, we've been in suspense ever since he hinted at the video. But now that it's here, we can't stop watching it! Of course, we imagine that having a lot of strangers kissing on a set would make for one awkward day of filming, but Charlie assured us it was quite the opposite!

"Not at all," he said. "You’d think that making out in front of all these people that you don’t know would be strange, but there was such a good vibe. We were at this really cool old school. It just clicked."
