Aside from a lot of nerve (and maybe a change of shorts), here's what you need to get into this year's Terror on the Ave:

What: It's a PG-13 haunted house that is not suitable for children under age 13, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Where: 411 W. Yakima Ave. (The old Schultz Furniture building.)

When: Oct. 3 through Nov. 1 -- 7-10 p.m. Thursdays, 7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

How much: Admission is $10 and $5 for same-night re-entry. Coupons for $1 off on Thursdays only are available at Goodwill Stores.

What else: No public restrooms, but there are Porta-Potties outside.

For opening weekend, Groovin' Grounds and D-Lish Mini Donuts will set up in the parking lot out front to sell coffee, treats and hot chocolate.

And speaking of parking, there's a big lot in front of the haunt, and lots of spaces are available at neighboring businesses -- and it's all free.
