Butler Amusements Say ‘No Selfies on Rides or Risk a Flying Phone’

Unfortunately it's one of those things that doesn't need to be said but, because it happens, it needs to be said. There have been many instances of people trying to take selfies on the rides at the fair, or just trying to get first-person perspective video. If you love your phone, don't do this.

The people at Butler Amusements have told us that there have already been several cases of exactly that happening and their phone will fly from their hands out of the ride, smashing on the ground.

If you don't feel like buying a new phone, resist the temptation to do this. If you're like to take a selfie, do so before or after, but not during the ride. Make sure your phone is secure in your pants pocket or in a jacket pocket with a zipper.

Your phone will fly out of your shirt pocket as well, making it a bad place for a phone.

Just image going on a ride like this trying to take a selfie. Be secure and stash your phone so you can hold on with both hands.
