ITT Technical Institute Closes Its Doors in Washington State and Beyond

It was the alternative to college that appealed to me and now they're closing their doors permanently.

Washington state was home to three ITT locations. One in Seattle, one in Spokane and one in Everett. Though it had a pretty stiff tuition (between $45k-$85k) it would teach you the skills you need to get a job in computers or some other in-demand field dealing with computer and more.

What I remember most were the commercials like this one.

“It is with profound regret that we must report that ITT Educational Services, Inc. will discontinue academic operations at all of its ITT Technical Institutes permanently after approximately 50 years of continuous service. With what we believe is a complete disregard by the U.S. Department of Education for due process to the company, hundreds of thousands of current students and alumni and more than 8,000 employees will be negatively affected.”
