In an effort to try new things, my wife loves Korean culture and that includes the food she sees in her favorite Korean shows. In a recent trip to Seattle she ordered something called jajangmyeon which was a black bean noodle dish. Sure, I'll try it.

The flavor wasn't bad at all, but it was something about the texture. Like maybe the noodles were too big and squishy or something, I can't quite place what it was.

I thought it was alright. My wife, on the other hand, thought it was excellent and probably better than she imagined.

At this time there aren't any places in Yakima that I'm aware that serve it. Joy Garden would be a candidate, but it's not on the menu. Maybe some day we'll see it available here but, in the meantime, you can always try making it yourself.
