Kanye West's trip to London to sit down for an emotional, yet intelligent interview with Zane Lowe also included getting some new ink. The rapper visited artist Maxime Buchi at Sang Bleu in London on Friday (Feb. 27) to honor his mother and daughter with a tattoo.

Around 4 a.m., West and his wife Kim Kardashian headed to the shop for his session. North's mom revealed that the "All Day" rhymer actually wanted to put the permanent artwork on his face, but she coaxed him out of the decision. "I talked him out of getting a face tattoo ... for now," she wrote as a caption to a photo of Ye's forehead featuring Roman numerals in washable ink.

Rather than mark up his face with a tattoo, the Chicago native decided to put the tribute ink on his left and right wrists. Each wrist features the day that his daughter, North (on the right), and mother, Donda West (on the left), were born in Roman numerals.

Kardashian shared her husband's dedication to his family on Instagram. Check out Yeezy's ink below.
