A great guy I went to junior high and high school with recently had an unexpected and quite serious medical situation that left him in the hospital for months.  Many of our mutual friends I have had for many decades reached out to me to ask me to spread the word in an effort to help him and his wife Stacie with the thousands of dollars in expenses they have incurred.

Ken's family has set up a Facebook page to track his progress and keep you updated.  You can check it by clicking here.

The next fundraiser they will be holding is coming up Saturday, August 24th at the Blue Barn in Wiley City from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M.

Here is the heartfelt message from his family:

At the end of May 2013, the Ken Seward’s family suffered a devastating blow as Ken was put on an emergency Life Flight to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, following a sudden, unforeseen and unavoidable accident tearing his esophagus.  This was a very serious situation that caused him to remain at Harborview for over two months with the majority of time in ICU!  There were several times we were unsure what the outcome would be as it did not look good at times.  We have spent many hours on our knees in prayer for his life and healing!

We want to explain the vastness of their situation as the bills incurred during this battle for Ken’s life and going forward are astronomical.  They have an enormous mountain in front of them.  This is why we, the family of Ken and Stacie Seward, are reaching out to you!  We will be doing many fundraisers and events to help them, and we ask that you consider helping them as well.

We would like to ask you for any help you can offer.  There are many ways you can help.  Please consider attending & participating in the upcoming fundraisers and events, or by giving any donations for silent & live auctions, or by monetary contributions, or by anything else you can think to do.  Also donations can be made at any US Bank or call Terry Purdom at 480-1420 for further information.  Please remember that they certainly need and appreciate our continued prayer as well!!

We are so excited to report that our prayers thus far have not gone unheard and that Ken is now at HOME and doing much better!  Although he has a long road to a complete recovery, he is on his way and we are so thankful to the Lord for sparing and saving his life.

Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help and support this wonderful family in their time of need and as they travel along the long journey ahead!
