Summer is here! Thank God for the warm weather, but being a mom isn't always fun this time of year. A lot of parents can't wait for school to start again because it keeps the kids busy. But how mean is that? Summertime can be fun -- and educational -- for you and your kids. Kids can get angry, though, when they have to do something they don't want to do.
So here's my own advice to for battling boredom this summer ... and for making your own life easier:
I love to camp and I do it every chance I get. We have some amazing places to camp in the state of Washington. All the way to the beach to right here in our backyard. I love going over White Pass and camping at Cascade Peaks Resort.
There are a lot of deceptively tough stuff in this world. Diving, sticking on a price tag, even just being a cute little pup can be hard. You know what else can be super challenging? Blowing out birthday candles.
Yesterday was the culmination of hours of hard work and studying at the Scribbs National Spelling Bee. Before Arvind Mahankali won the title of champion (like a bawse, it's worth noting), kids from across the country came together to experience some extreme competition.
