The Seattle Seahawks cheerleaders -- the Sea Gals -- will be sending two representatives to celebrate in the annual Moxee Hop Festival again this year.

I have to tell you that the Moxee Hop Festival was better than I have ever seen. Every single thing that was at the hop fest this past weekend was awesome. All of the food, kid fun, music and of course, the beer garden, was great. It took me a minute or two to come up with my favorite things at the hop fest...

From the parade down Iler Street to last call at the beer garden, the 2017 Moxee Hop Festival won't soon be forgotten. For the second consecutive year, a pair of Sea Gals even graced the grounds of the Moxee City Park, where thousands beat the triple-digit heat with icy treats, cool music and the soothing shade of the town's towering trees...

The Moxee Hop Festival has been drawing attendees from far beyond the East Valley for years, but organizers know a good thing when they see it. Last year, two members of the Seattle Seahawks cheer squad — the Sea Gals — garnered throngs of fans to the festival...

This year's Moxee Hop Festival has so much going on that organizers had no choice: They added an extra day. So if you love parades, live music, Sea Gals, great food and bucket-loads of family fun, mark your calendars for Aug. 3, 4 and 5.

The Moxee Hop Festival is always fun, but this year it had a little added star power -- Seattle Seahawks cheerleaders Christian and Melanie hung out with us all afternoon to sign autographs and pose for pictures. We got some pictures of our own (see gallery above) before after Moxee's Stan Fortier introduced the Sea Gals to the crowd (see video below)...

Under deep blue skies and just enough breeze to keep everybody comfortable, the Moxee Hop Festival was as good as ever this year -- a grand parade, a 5K run, inflatable rides and slides, an entertainment stage that kept going day and night, food to please any palate and of course, the whole point of the celebration to begin with, beer -- the beverage all those hops help produce...

Shaking your moneymaker really could make you some money this weekend! Starting at 9:30 tonight and Saturday (Aug. 5-6), $25 Valley Mall gift cards -- along with a load of other prizes -- will be up for grabs every half-hour during the Moxee Hop Festival's teen street dance...

I'm a huge fan of new foods, especially at fairs and live events. From deep-fried s'mores to whatever-on-a-stick, I'm down to try just about anything. When I saw deep-fried pumpkin pie on the menu at a booth at last weekend's Moxee Hop Festival, I knew I had to try it.
