Should High School Grads Get Free Tuition at YVCC?

I recently read an article on how Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam signed a proposal awarding high school graduates a free two-year scholarship to a community college. This same plan is something other states, including Oregon, are considering as well.

Do you think Washington state, especially Yakima, might benefit from something like this? Do you think we'd have more people graduating from high school in our valley if anyone who graduated were allowed to go to YVCC for two years, tuition-free?
