Turkey Bowling for Charity 2013

It has become an annual tradition. Every year your favorite DJs, TV personalities, police, fire, army and more show up at Grocery Outlet for Turkey Bowling. They come in groups of three, bowl with frozen turkeys and for every strike you get, the charity of your choice will get a turkey for the holidays. Here's how I did.

My technique was a simple 'granny-style' toss. I felt if I was stabilized in my wide stance, I could keep the turkey straight. I was right 7 out of 10 times as I was able to get seven turkeys to Breakthrough Church (the charity I opted for).

I also know it was completely gross to handle frozen turkey without gloves. Gloves were provided, but I felt I could grip the turkey better without them. Don't worry, I washed my hands thoroughly and doused them with hand sanitizer before I touched anything else.

All in all, we had a great time as always and am already looking forward to next year.
