Unsung Heroes of Yakima: People Who Pick Up After Their Dogs

I just needed to give a shout-out to everyone who actually cleans up after their dogs. I salute you, as you truly are unsung heroes of Yakima.

I live in a pretty big apartment complex that's pet friendly and, although many do clean up after their pets, many don't. This is bad news for my family and I as we have to keep on our toes -- many times, quite literally.

It's also a busy enough place off the sidewalk that those who don't live in the neighborhood yet walk their dogs around the area might not feel they should pick up after their dogs, who do their business on the apartment grounds.

Just as I would never change a diaper in a public restroom and leave the diaper on the counter, everyone would appreciate it if you just pick up after your dog. You're doing everyone a favor when you do, including yourself.
