Do you donate? It could be time or money but if you do, you're helping make Washington state one of the top 20 most charitable states in the United States.

WalletHub did a study to find out based on several criteria including charitable giving (cash, clothes, ect.) as well as volunteering.

Utah came in first place followed by Minnesota, North Dakota and Maryland. Utah came in first place on the list, but was also first place in volunteer rate, highest percentage of donated income, highest percentage of population who claim to have donated time and most volunteering hours per capita. Amazing.

The least charitable are Texas, California and Arizona came in last place.

Washington, though, came in 19th place. It could be a lot better, but it's on the better half of 50 so I'm cool with that.

See the rest of the study at WalletHub and do your part if you can so we can get a better number for 2017.
