Where is Compton?

The new movie 'Straight Outta Compton' is a huge box office success. If you're not familiar with your U.S. geography, here's a little about Compton.

Compton, Calif., is a suburb of Los Angeles situated just south of the big city and has a population about the same size as Yakima -- just shy of 100,000 people live there.

Although the rap group that made it famous was N.W.A., several other popular artists came from there including Kendrick Lamar and Nirvana bassist  Krist Novoselic.
