Why Doesn’t Yakima Have A Fountain To Throw Pennies Into It? [VIDEO]

My daughter, Willow, has a bunch of pennies and no city fountain to throw them into.

A co-worker and I were talking about the fact that the city of Yakima does not have a place to throw pennies in a fountain. Growing up in Nashville, TN, I took it for granted that we had several of those kinds of fountains to choose from. Some were located inside of malls, and the rest were of course, outdoors.

My friends on Facebook informed me that there used to be a penny fountain inside the old Yakima Mall, but it was relocated to somewhere in Zillah.

The closest thing I found to an outdoor fountain in Yakima was something that I discovered by mistake, at a car wash near Davis High School! It'll have to do, so I threw a penny in it and made a wish, for old time's sake.
