Hernandez, who favors soul, R&B, pop and gospel music, grew up in Arizona and has appeared numerous times on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." His most recent single is "Beautiful," and he plans a new release this summer.

His 2008 appearance on "American Idol" helped launch his national career.
