Yakima Needs More Banyan Trees

banyan tree
John Riggs, TSM
When I was in Hawaii, I saw these trees that looks like something out of a Miyazaki film. They were giant and looks like they were made up of a bunch of tall roots. They had long vines that hung down that could support your weight to swing on and, well, they just looked cool. I think Yakima could use some of these Banyan trees.

Hawaii was full of luaus and water parks and live entertainment but one of the things my kids loved doing was swinging on the vines of these banyan trees. Free entertainment.

You can swing on these banyan trees to your heart’s desire if you choose to win a trip to Hawaii on our Getaway with Wray’s contest we’re currently doing. Enter to win now!
