Ever wonder what kind of training it takes to be one of those people who help motorists through road construction zones?  Here's your chance to find out and take that training.

Yakima Valley Community College will host flagger certification training on Aug. 21, 2014. The training provides certification for work zone traffic control flaggers.

Participants will receive a study guide, and have the opportunity to take the Washington State certification exam. The class will be held from 8:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. in YVCC’s Skills Center Building, Room W106. The cost is $45. Deadline to register is August 19th.

People wishing to take the flagger training class need to visit YVCC’s registration office and complete a registration form, pay the training fee at YVCC’s cashiering office, and bring a copy of your receipt to the training.

One-day classes are offered at a variety of times throughout the academic year on YVCC’s Yakima Campus. For more information contact 509.574.4711
