Whether you're a refugee from working too many hours or seeking some of that famous Yakima Valley sunshine, you're in luck tonight (July 20). There'll be plenty of both as Downtown Summer Nights welcomes Jeff Crosby & the Refugees plus Bootleg Sunshine to the outdoor stage on historic North Front Street.

Crosby, an Idaho native, only gets through Yakima about once a year these days, but his brand of Americana is always welcome. He and his band have put out several albums in the past six years -- you might remember a couple of his songs from the FX series "Sons of Anarchy."

Bootleg Sunshine, meantime, is a Seattle-based outfit that plays world folk and Americana rock ... with lots of fiddlin'!

Should be a great night -- beer garden opens at 5:30, and the music plays from 6-9.

Here's a little sampling of this evening's fare:

The free Downtown Summer Nights concert series is presented by Stewart Subaru and Downtown Association of Yakima on North Front Street between Yakima Avenue and Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way. Chinook Fest powers the music, while Legends Casino Hotel sponsors the stage.

While the music plays, enjoy a number of food options as well as a beer and wine garden.

Virginia Mason Memorial provides a cooling station complete with a misting tent. Regional Health hosts an interactive, safe and fun kids area, and MOD Pizza -- with help from Arts on the Move -- oversees all of the weekly activities. U.S. Cellular even offers cellphone charging stations for when you've drained your battery taking photos and videos.
