An event that hopes to provide community resources for Yakima Valley families will be held at the Henry Beauchamp Community Center tonight.

Healthy Youth, Healthy Families session will be held in both English and Spanish.

Presenters will share education with parents about the risks of opioid use.

Parents will also be able to receive Narcan training and receive a free Narcan kit.

Dinner will be provided, and the event will have raffle and door prizes.

Want to attend this event but are worried about childcare?

Free childcare will be provided at the Beauchamp Center for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.

This is a free community event and open to all families of students in the Yakima School District and ESD 105.

The OIC of Washington and the Yakima County NAACP are sponsors of this event. The West Valley School District held a similar free family class event back in February.

Other events the public is invited to attend include an upcoming session on community grant funding on Tuesday, April 23rd from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
