The were more hits than misses at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, so in order to keep things manageable, we narrowed it down to the five absolute best and most beautiful gowns (but do feel free to check out all our red carpet coverage).

The American Music Awards took place last night (Nov. 18), with the music world's elite gracing the red carpet and looking gorgeous while doing it -- and thanks to some smart stylist choices, some of pop's prettiest ladies hit their highest fashion notes of the year.

While there were certain stars who fell flat with their wardrobe choices, there were a crop of standout artists that really dressed to impress, like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Wiz Khalifa, Alicia Keys and the Wanted.
