Fireworks are allowed under certain restrictions in Granger, Harrah, Mabton, Moxee and Zillah. Fireworks are banned in the cities of Yakima, Selah and Sunnyside.

There's a lot of talk about firework and firework safety in the Yakima valley. I received a note from the Deputy State Fire Marshal Lysandra David about this matter. Here's a few clues that your fireworks may be illegal.

The short answer: not many places.

When I lived in Casper, Wyoming, the firework festival there gave out 3D firework glasses to enhance the light show in the sky. I don't wear them the whole time, but they are pretty neat.
