Presenting Our 2024 Light Up Yakima Winner [PHOTO GALLERY]
Well, it's a wrap (pun intended) on our Christmas holiday lights contest, Light Up Yakima 2024.
We had several entries this year and want to thank each person that sent us a delightful photo of their holiday lights.
It takes a lot of work to get the house all lit up and looking festive this time of year, so we wanted to give a shout out to our entries.
The winner of this contest will receive a $500 Visa gift card presented by our amazing sponsor, Coca-Cola of Yakima and Tri-Cities! Thank you to our sponsor!
This year, we had entries that showcased everything from a toy train set that featured the words, "Stink, Stank, Stunk", along with homes that displayed huge snowmen, Santas, candy canes, and all of Santa's reindeer in their front yards.
Take a look at our entries below and maybe it will spark some creative ideas you can use to decorate your house for Christmas!
The decision was hard, and some homes really outdid themselves; each one of these entries were so impressive, they each could have been declared the winner!
The team of judges chose the home of Christin James, for its simple, yet elegant display of holiday lights that led from the driveway up to the rooftop.
The James home has bright candy canes that light up the pathway to the front of the house. There are several trees with their own light displays in the front yard, and even bushes got their own sprinkling lights.
The front porch area, garage, and work shed also have a unique mixture of holiday lights. There's also a Christmas tree made out of lights and a couple of lit-up signs on the front gate, plus snowflakes, a toy soldier, and more!
Who would you have chosen as the winner?
