Ever wonder what life is like behind the scenes of the American Idol Live! Tour? Well, PopCrush has teamed up with the newly launching, artist-dedicated Channel 19 to premiere this exclusive video that takes you backstage and on the road with the Top 10 from Season 11.

In this clip, hosted by the lovely Christina Grimmie, we learn that the American Idol Live! Tour hits 47 cities in 31 states in a total of 77 days. Do the simple math and you’ll realize it’s one wild ride. There’s five trucks, each 53 feet long, lugging lights, gear and equipment. It takes eight hours to erect the stage that the Top 10 from Season 11 perform on. And this happens each and every night.

Grimmie of course nabs time with the assembled Top 10 in this clip. It’s actually the Top 9, since runner-up Jessica Sanchez is MIA (she had a photo shoot that day). So don’t fret, ‘Idol’ fanatics. There’s no drama between Bebe Chez and her castmates. Smoky-voiced Elise Testone is revealed to be the “mom” of the group since she is the oldest and displays her motherly instinct. Heejun Han, the comedian of Season 11, says that everyone comes to the American Idol Live! Tour to see Colton Dixon and winner Phillip Phillips, the resident cuties.

If you loved getting to know the Top 10 of Season 11 in the uber fun clip, then we suggest you subscribe to Channel 19′s YouTube page since they will be posting more exclusive content like this. Channel 19 is being launched tomorrow (Aug. 30) by the producers of the show and will offer behind-the-scenes access to ‘Idol’ talent via video content. Fans can discuss and engage with their seasonal faves and gain unprecedented access long after the finale. So if you’re an ‘Idol’ addict, this YouTube page will be your fix!

PopCrush is thrilled to introduce you to Channel 19 first via this clip, which offers a keyhole view of Season 11′s finalists as they hit the tour circuit and get their road legs under ‘em.
