‘Bachelor’ Couple Emily Maynard, Brad Womack Call It Quits

And another one bites the dust: According to an exclusive PEOPLE cover story, ‘Bachelor’ couple Emily Maynard and Brad Womack have called off their engagement.

“We’re no longer engaged,” a “teary-eyed” Maynard told PEOPLE in the new issue, on stands today. The confession came following an interview special with ‘Bachelor’ host Chris Harrison, set to air July 11 on ABC.

The 25-year-old single mom told PEOPLE she’s breaking her silence to end “all the media speculation” so that she and her daughter “can move on and get back to normal.”

So what exactly caused the break-up? In a statement to PEOPLE, Womak claims it was “completely my fault.” Maynard, however, is singing a different tune, telling PEOPLE, “Just because we love each other doesn’t mean we’re right for each other.”
