Batman v Superman and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 Released the Same Day

I was looking to see what movies were set to be released in 2016 and something caught my attention. What's bound to be one of the biggest movies of 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which will be in theaters March 25, happens to be the same release date as My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. At first I thought it was a terrible date but now that I think about it, it's brilliant!. Here's why.

Most guys will want to see Batman v Superman. A lot of females will want to see it, too, but for those that don't there's the option of watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. Here's the thing. Most guys won't want to watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. Sure, I enjoyed the first one but had I not have been forced to see it through a promotion I would not have gone out of my way to see it in the first place.

Since both are opening on the same day, I wouldn't doubt for a second that Batman v Superman will be the number one movie that weekend with My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 coming in second place. However, I'm sure there'll be plenty of guys who will take their girlfriends and wives to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 as a way of saying, "thanks for letting me see Batman v Superman with my friends." Or, anymore, they'll watch both. First the guys will watch one, then take their lady-friends to see the other.

And, yes, there are many, many ladies who can't wait to see Batman v Superman as well.

It'll be an interesting weekend come March.
