There's a saying that goes: "Hindsight is always 20/20." There's also a saying, "When life hands you lemons ..." Television journalist and CNN anchor Don Lemon seems to believe that when life hands you a lemon, you ask it a bizarre question.

The other day on his TV show,  Lemon interviewed a woman named Joan Tarshis, who claims that she, like supermodel Janice Dickinson, was sexually assaulted by comedian and actor Bill Cosby. The interview was conducted Tuesday on Lemon's CNN cable TV show, and during the interview, Lemon asked his guest the question:

"Can I ask you this, and please, I don't mean to be crude ... you know, there are ways not to perform [redacted] if you don't want to do it ... [you could have used your] teeth as a weapon, in biting."

(You can watch a clip of the video of the interview below.)

Well of course, Captain Obvious, one solution could have involved biting a perpetrator, however, this woman claimed she was given drugs that left her incapacitated (and WHY in the world would you ask someone that?) It's not as if anyone can go back in time and fix everything that was terrible! HELLO.

Don Lemon's seemingly innocuous question (to himself) came across as though he was actually SHOCKED that Ms. Tarshish didn't do anything useful to get herself out of a bad situation. HipHopWired.com calls this a "struggle question" (that's fancy slang for "insensitive"). Why, in the past, didn't you do the obvious to protect yourself? Inquiring Don Lemon WANTS TO KNOW!

Nevertheless, Twitter let loose the Kracken and poked a LOT of fun at Don Lemon with the following hashtags:

Say what you will about Don Lemon, but the only LEMON that I love, will always be LIZ LEMON from "30 Rock"!
