Governor Inslee Heads To Yakima On Saturday For Cesar Chavez Day

March 24-31st is National Farm Workers Awareness Week, so we want to give a big shout to all the farm workers here in Washington state and around the country! Without you, it would be so hard for us to eat some of our favorite foods and get our grub on!

Speaking on behalf of people everywhere who love to eat, THANK YOU FARM WORKERS!

Governor Inslee will be in Yakima to sign House Bill HB 1939, which declares March 31st as Cesar Chavez Day in Washington state! The bill was signed into law on March 6, 2018. Some are even carpooling all the way from Seattle to attend this event!

There will be a signing ceremony and reception tomorrow from 9-11am at UFCW Labor Hall (507 S 3rd St).
