When you think of the city of Los Angeles, what words and phrases come to your mind? For me, I think of the glitz and glam of Hollywood, celebrities, expensive shopping, and major tourist attractions that people come to see from all over the globe. If you're planning a trip to L.A. within the next year, I have some major attractions that I think you should put on your "bucket list" of things to see.

The first thing I suggest is for you to do before heading out to one of the top tourist attractions in L.A. is to find some palm trees and take a picture in front of them. Palm trees are on my quintessential Los Angeles aesthetic.

Instead of focusing on the typical "must see" tourist places to visit in Los Angeles, like the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory, and Universal Studios Hollywood, I've included 6 other major attractions to see. The attractions that I chose for this list include a popular thrift shop to score some vintage and designer finds at low prices, a famous "sidewalk", famous hotel, famous movie theater, famous mural spots to take photos, a huge shopping center located in downtown LA, and a movie studio tour that will features films and television shows that give us all great memories.

1 . Visit a vintage or thrift shop, like Red, White, and Blue Value Center in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Greater Los Angeles

2 . Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theatre

3 . The “You Are Going to Be Fine” mural located at ROW DTLA in the Arts District

4 . Visit or stay inside a famous hotel in Los Angeles, like The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

5 . L.A. Live. Nicknamed the “Times Square of the West”. It contains The Grammy Studio, several eateries, a movie theater, and a major concert venue.

6 . Take a Tour of the Sony Pictures Studio

When you're visiting L.A., always be on the lookout for celebrities; you never know when you'll run into one who is dressed down and walking around incognito. You'll immediately get the sense that a celebrity is close because of paparazzi or a TMZ video crew lurking around you nearby. You've also got to keep some hand sanitizer handy and be prepared for lots of crowds wherever you go. It's an unfortunate fact of life when you go visit a major attraction in Los Angeles.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
