After four family generations of service and operations going back 122 years, Yakima’s Johnson’s Orchards is closing the book and saying farewell. A hub for fresh produce, artisan goods, and pastries; the closure is coming as a shock to many longtime Yakima customers.

Last night, owners Eric and Jill Johnson announced per their Facebook page:

To Our Loyal Customers From Johnson Orchards

It’s time for us to say farewell. We will be retiring and closing Johnson Orchards on October 31, 2026.
We are forever grateful to our terrific employees, both past and present, as well as the generations of family and friends who helped build our business. And, of course, we are deeply grateful to our amazing, loyal customers.
We also want to express our sincere appreciation to our local vendors and fellow growers who have supplied us with wonderful local products and fresh fruit to supplement our own crops.

We certainly wouldn’t have been as successful without the support of so many wonderful people.

Although we are saying farewell, there is a good possibility of new owners taking over who share our desire to keep Johnson Orchards thriving for years to come.

t’s difficult for us to say goodbye after all these years, but we are looking forward to some rest, travel, and new adventures.

With love and deep appreciation,
Jill & Eric
A Friendly Reminder: If you have any gift cards, please be sure to use them before October 31, 2026. Thank you!
