Several Items with This Cheese is Being Recalled in WA, OR, CA
A few days ago the FDA issued a recall on several Trader Joe's products that contained cojita cheese due to possible listeria linked to these items. These are items found at Trader Joe's that include these.
They're now finding more cases of food illness from products with cojita cheese and queso fresco, not just the ones sold at Trader Joe's. These are items found at Walmart and Costco as well.
So far they're saying 26 illnesses including 2 deaths may be directly linked to items with this product.
The CDC is reporting more cases in 11 states including Washington, Oregon, and in California, with direct links to these types of products.
The FDA has a large list of items that you should consider throwing away or returning for these types of products.
Not just straight bricks of cojita or queso fresco but also items like ready-made salads, items in the fresh and frozen section, all with cojita. See the list on the FDA site. There's a lot.
Signs may not show up for a couple of weeks but may include fever, aches, nausea, and your body trying to reject everything inside your stomach from both ends, if you know what I mean.
Check your fridge and freezer and if you have any of those items get rid of them for you and your family's safety.

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
