Effin Egg is Open in Yakima and it’s Effin Amazing

A while back I remember seeing the Effin Egg sign go up and got very excited about the prospect of a breakfast sandwich place opening in the West Valley area of Yakima. They're doing a soft open right now so I had to check it out.

The inside of the shop looked like something I'd see when visiting other cities out of town. Nice and neat. They had a few tables and even a breakfast 'bar' that you can sit if you're eating by yourself or just like to sit at the longer table up against where they're preparing food.

They also had shirts for sale that said Eff U - Yakima, WA so that's fun. Looking at their menu and what they call their menu items they certainly have an attitude that would make the most humble and prude citizen chuckle.

I wanted to grab a few things. One of their highlighted menu items was the OG so I had to grab that.

The Food at Effin Egg

Ladies and gentlemen, this is The OG. Bacon, cheese and an egg your way (I opted for over-medium) on a toasted bun. It ruled.

Just for fun I also got the pancakes and waffles. They were great. I love how thick the pancakes are. They included this whipped cinnamon butter that was a definite highlight.

They have a lot of other menu items which will give me a reason to keep returning. Can't wait to see what else they have.

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery.
