I mean, what's not to love about mozzarella sticks? Breaded, fried cheesesticks with a red sauce to dip as needed. It's a popular favorite for kids and grown-ups, too. If I happen to be at a restaurant with my kids, chances are they'll want an order of these. Sometimes we'll get two if they bring friends.

What caught my eye the other day were these Mozzarella Twists. No photo or anything, just a description that made them sound like cheesesticks with a twist -- literally.

Well, we knew we just had to try them.

Presenting the Mozzarella Twists.

Not very surprising, these can be found at Red Robin.

Admittedly, Red Robin is a place in Yakima I haven't been to in a while. There was a time when every time I went there, my new favorite menu item was no longer there every time I went. I loved the A1 Peppercorn Burger, it's not there anymore. I loved this 4-cheese mac & cheese they had for a short while, it's not there anymore. I'd get a new favorite then, next time I'd go, they'd have a new menu and the thing I loved last time was either a limited time item or gone to make room for something else.

Well, it's been a good while and there's plenty of options so my kid and I were happy to see these Mozzarella Twists on the menu and they were exactly that. Like Mozzarella Sticks from many places, but these were twisted with a fun shape, but tasted as you could only imagine. If you can't imagine it, it's wonderful.

If it's been a while maybe swing by Red Robin and grab a burger or pizza but make sure you check out these Mozzarella Twists.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
