New Business Alert: Yakima Gains a New Fabric Shop on Nob Hill
There is a new place to get some fabric in Yakima! Have you stopped by the shop yet?
I tell you what, when JoAnn's closed down, there were thousands of broken hearts in the Valley wondering where we were going to get our fabric fix. If you sew or quilt, having a fabric shop nearby is very important; thankfully, we have a new place to go and it's located on Nob Hill.

Nana's Quilt Shop
61 W Nob Hill Blvd in Yakima
Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Robin, the warm and friendly owner of Nana's Quilt Shop, is a welcoming lady who took over the previous quilt shop after its owner retired. She offers longarm quilting services in addition to loads of fabric and notions. Their website promises that quilting classes are coming soon.
It's great to have a new fabric shop in Yakima, especially one that's close to people who live in the South part of town like me!
You can find threads, patterns, jellyrolls, kits, and books. I spied with my little eye a few pattern books from The Fabric Cafe (I'm a huge fan of them on YouTube!)
I loved this hilarious chalkboard sign that is on display inside the shop. The sign says, "We accept all major credit cards, especially your husbands!"
Thankfully, we still have The Quilter's Cafe at 4001 Summitview Ave Suite 21. They are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays thru Saturdays.
