The elements of a great Super Bowl halftime show performance includes a college marching band with some great dance moves plus a big name entertainer. That hasn’t always been the case.

The first ever Super Bowl halftime show was performed in 1967 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This was back when only university marching bands entertained the crowd. Things were so much simpler then, right?

Fast forward to represent day 2024, and we’ve got one of the world’s biggest pop and R&B stars, Usher, slated to wow us with pyrotechnics, fireworks, flashing LED lights, stage jumps, and who knows what else.
