Looking for something in my parents' basement, I found this old newspaper in a box. I'm sure it was being used as padding or insulation or something. I decided to open it up and look through it to see if I'd recognize anything.

The logo, itself, was a blast from the past.

Upon opening it, I was greeted with some familiar businesses we don't have anymore. I missed King's Table Buffet! They even had a coupon to use, which had long since expired so I couldn't use it even if it were still open today.

The next page was where the movie listings were. "The Princess Bride," "Stakeout" and other films from 1987. They even had listings for the old drive-in theater. "Robocop" and "Spaceballs"! What a great double feature that would've been.

The rest of the pages were your basic articles about what's going on in the city of Yakima. Cool stuff!

I'm going back and hoping to find more newspapers. If I do, I'll post them here, too.
