A 22-year-old Portland man, Beau Brooks, died Sunday at the Paradiso Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre. No official word on what caused the death, though drugs and/or the heat could have been to blame, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office.

Live Nation, the show's promoter, released the following statement about the death:

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the man who passed away for unknown reasons after attending this weekend’s festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre. After two days of wonderful celebration, it is absolutely heartbreaking to experience a loss of life. We ask that you keep those closest to him in your thoughts and prayers. Fan safety is always a high priority and we are dedicated to creating a safe environment for our guests. Our community is a caring one and we all must remain committed to looking out for each other.

The sold-out electronic dance show drew a crowd of about 27,500 people, who were  exposed to a high temperature of 110 degrees on Sunday. Authorities reported that some concert-goers had been using Ecstasy.

Brooks was taken to a Wenatchee hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to King5.com.
