The absolute worst state to drive in is Hawaii. I've visited Hawaii a few times and rented a car on two of those occasion and I'm here to say, it wasn't nearly as bad of an experience than any random time I visit Seattle.

Washington also has the 4th highest car theft rate and 4th highest average gas prices.

The best states to be if you love driving is Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and North Carolina rounding out the top five.
