One Of My Kids Thinks She Can Spell Because Of The Internet. WTF?

I have always considered myself a good speller. But since I got into radio, I am not that good anymore. I spell everything phonetically, hoping I can say it right over the air. So now I really can't spell that well at all! Everything communicated on the internet by text or via social networking is quick. Like "WTF" or "OMG" or "LOL!" Kids cannot spell at all these days!

However, I do know how to spell the words "spell" or "spelled!" So when one of my kids got on me for misspelling "emoji," it was hard to take. Come on ... really?

But look how she spelled "spelled!"

She cannot spell "spelled," but she can spell "emoji!" Hilarious!
