2017 has issued a treasure trove of surprises for fans of Warped Tour veterans, Paramore, who recently announced original drummer Zac Farro would rejoin the band, despite a contentious initial departure. Perhaps inspired by that bit of good news, the group also revealed their forthcoming fifth studio album is expected to see a 2017 release and they'll hit the road to promote it.

The “Misery Business” group confirmed the eventual tour dates via Instagram, when a fan asked whether a subsequent tour would follow. They replied, “yes,” according to NME, which will henceforth be taken as absolute verification of upcoming live dates.

The band also offered an update on the work behind upcoming fifth album -- their followup to 2013's Paramore -- a month ago, writing via Instagram, “about a year ago, we began writing & demoing songs for #5. Following up our self-titled album didn’t seem like it was going to be an easy task and, unsurprisingly, it was not. The problem about comparing yourself to… yourself… is that even though it’s better than looking elsewhere, you’re still looking in the wrong direction.

“For me, it wasn’t until I trusted that the past is finished with me that I could go looking for what’s next," the post continued, "Our pasts can be a great comforter, or a horror movie; a noose, or a shield… but it is 'past' for a reason. After a rest, we have to go looking for what’s supposed to come after that.”

Paramore's lineup has seen several incarnations since the group's 2004 inception, but it currently consists of lead singer Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and original drummer Zac Farro.
