There was a time when 'Whose Line is it Anyway' was our favorite TV show. The version where Drew Carey hosted and the line-up would usually feature Colin Mochrie, Ryan Styles, Wayne Brady and rotating members from their usual pool of improv comedians. One time that seat was filled with Robin Williams. That's when magic happened.

What I loved about him hosting was, not just because he was hilarious and looked like he had a lot of fun, but he wasn't there promoting anything. He was just on the show to be on the show. He didn't need to be, he was already an accomplished actor and comedian. Being on that program didn't do him any favors, but he did it.

Here are some clips from that show.
