Yakima Valley residents still have time to get to the public veneration for St. Pio Pietrelcina at Holy Family Parish, 5315 Tieton Drive -- the display closes at 7:30 tonight (Thursday, Nov. 7).

Bishop James Tyson of the Yakima Diocese led a Mass this morning in honor of St. Pio, a friar and priest who was also a stigmatist and a mystic. Francesco Forgione (1887-1968) took the name Pius -- Padre Pio -- after joining the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin.
