Who’s Going to Be Open on Thanksgiving in Yakima? I’ve Got the Tea
The townsfolk of Yakima as a whole are really looking forward to Thanksgiving Weekend. On Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, we turn up in droves to get some local shopping deals and some even like to go on special wine tasting tours in the Valley.
Why We All Love a Particularly Special Day Off - Thanksgiving Day ✨
Thanksgiving Day, however, is the one we're really excited about. We feel so grateful for a day when most of us get the day off from work! No office emails, no Teams calls, no deadlines to miss--we finally get a chance to kick it on the couch, go to the movies, yell at a football game on TV, spend time with loved ones (including our pets!), eat some really good Thanksgiving food, and hopefully not get stranded in Sea-Tac airport.
Speaking of food, if you need to dash out to get a last-minute ingredient or something to bring to Thanksgiving Dinner, gas up the car, or a host of other errands, take note below of which businesses and restaurants will be in the 'Open for Thanksgiving Day' mix. I've included local national chain restaurants in the list, too, because they are mentioned on RetailMeNot's list for 2025.

Shoutout to the Thanksgiving Day MVPs
Some of us do, however, have to work on Thanksgiving Day, and to that, we collectively say, THANKS!! Thank you to the ones there for us to keep some of our favorite restaurants and convenience stores open on Thursday. We know you don't have to be open, yet we sure are grateful that you are!
Keep in mind, most restaurants in town that happen to be open on Thanksgiving will only be open for a few hours, so you might want to call them before you go.
Now, let's see where we can go.
