After being cancelled because of COVID-19 city officials say city parks will be alive with the sound of music and movies during three different series this summer.
A press release from the city says the Summer Sunset Concert Series at Franklin Park, 2101 Tieton Drive, is set for 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the following Fridays:

July 8th           DieBruder (classic rock)
July 15th            Under the Covers (80s/90s rock)
July 22rd         Red Light Challenge (alternative/indie pop)
July 29th         Camille Bloom (folk rock)
Aug. 5th          American Honey Band (country/rock)
Aug. 12th        Spiced Rye (Americana)

Viva La Musica begins Sunday, July 10thth at Miller Park, on the corner of North 4th Street and East E Street. Miller Park will also host the following concerts on Sundays from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm:

July 10th         Los del RegioCalentano
July 17th         Super Escandalo
July 24th         Banda la Palmera

Martin Luther King Jr. Park, on the corner of South 8th Street and East Beech Street, will feature Viva La Musica concerts from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on the following Sundays:

July 31st          Explosion Musical
Aug. 7th           Rebeldes de la Sierra
Aug.14th          Los de Alla

Viva La Musica’s finale for this summer will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 11th at Miller Park featuring Adventureros Musical Los Nuevos Coyotes and Los Hermanos Arroyo.

The Outdoor Summer Cinema Series returns to the City’s Chesterley Park, on the corner of 40th Avenue and River Road. The movies will each begin at sunset, about 8:30 pm, on six Sundays. The film series features:

July 10th         Clifford the Big Red Dog
July 17th         Raiders of the Lost Ark
July 24th         Spirit Untamed
July 31st         Field of Dreams
Aug. 7th          Spider-Man: No Way Home
Aug. 14th        Encanto
