The Game Drops “Ride Solo”
From his The Documentary 2/2.5 collector's set, The Game drops "Ride Solo." Backed by a piano riff and no bass, the West Coast MC blacks out with bars and no hooks. Showing off his storytelling ability, The Game gets sentimental reminiscing on a friend of his whose life was taken too early. With no name drops, the rapper reminds us that "bitches ain't shit" and it never hurts to ride solo from time to time.
The stripped down track is one of four new songs on The Documentary 2/2.5 collector's edition project. The other three are the Trey Songz-assisted “Do It To You,” a sexually charged song where The Game is explicit about his bedroom habits, “The Soundtrack” feat. Meek Mill and “El Chapo” feat. Skrillex. Along with the new songs, those who purchase the physical edition will also get a 20-page booklet that includes never-before-seen photos shot by Jonathan Mannion from the rapper’s 2005 photo shoot for The Documentary. The full set is available today via eOne Music (Jan. 22).
The Game is currently on The Documentary 2 tour that will take him across the globe to serve his international fanbase. The MC is scheduled to hit Sweden, Denmark, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and more. The rapper will likely hit the United States for the second leg of the tour in the spring/summer.
