Once upon a time, as a way to capitalize on movie industry, they decided to bring the famous Super Mario Bros. video game to life in a loosely-based live-action film. The film, itself, is known for being terrible, but what happened behind the scenes makes an even better story.

The Gaming Historian walks through what it was like to be on the set, complete with random rewrites, changes on-set and more where actors would basically show up unprepared because they knew what they signed up for would be shifted around.

The more I watch stuff like this documentary on the making-of, the more it makes me want to watch the film. Might be worth checking out now that you know the truth behind this movie.
